My goals as a counselor and an educator are to meet the academic, career, and personal/social needs of all students. I strive to create a positive, safe learning environment and to enhance the students' knowledge of themselves and the role they play within this diverse and ever-changing world.
“Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” ~ Frank Outlaw |
The 2023-24 school year will be my ninth year at Holmes Junior High. My previous school counselor experience was three years with the Waverly-Shell Rock CSD and six years in Independence. I received my MAE in School Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008 and my BA in Social Science Education in 2001.
My husband (Oly) and I live in Cedar Falls with our four children. We love this community and the exceptional school district. My favorite pastimes include dancing, being with family and friends, and cheering on my favorite sports teams. Go Panthers! |
